Chief of Staff to the President and CMC Indonesia Distribute School Kits for Children in East Aceh

East Aceh, February 14, 2026 – Smiles of happiness were clearly seen on the faces of students of SD Negeri Ketibung, Serbajadi Subdistrict, as they received school kits symbolically handed over by the representative of the Presidential Chief of Staff Office, Aftharuriza, warmly known as Dekda, together with CMC Indonesia. This assistance represents a tangible commitment to supporting the continuity of education for children in East Aceh.

The distribution activity aims to support students’ learning needs while encouraging them to remain enthusiastic in pursuing their education. The assistance consisted of school bags and learning supplies for daily use.

In his remarks, Aftharuriza (Dekda) emphasized that attention to the education sector, particularly for children in areas in need, is part of the government’s commitment to ensuring that every Indonesian child has access to proper education.

“We hope this assistance will increase children’s motivation to learn and remind them that they are not alone. The future of our nation is in their hands,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Sarboini, Field Coordinator of CMC Indonesia, said that this collaboration reflects strong synergy between the government and humanitarian organizations in supporting the fulfillment of children’s basic educational needs.

“Through this support, we want to ensure that children have adequate school supplies so that the learning process can run well and they are more motivated to achieve their dreams,” he explained.

The Principal of SD Negeri Ketibung also expressed appreciation for the assistance, noting that it is highly beneficial and provides additional motivation for students to be more enthusiastic about learning.

The handover ceremony was filled with touching and joyful moments. The children showed great enthusiasm upon receiving the school kits, which are expected to serve as new encouragement in their educational journey. The activity concluded with a group photo session and direct interaction with the students and teachers.

This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on children’s learning process and to further strengthen collaboration between the government and humanitarian organizations in supporting the education sector in East Aceh.
