Severe flooding has struck 18 of 23 District in Aceh Province following days of heavy rainfall, causing rivers to overflow and inundate residential communities. More than one hundred thousand homes have been submerged, forcing almost 300 thousand families to evacuate to temporary shelters with limited access to basic necessities.
In many affected areas, damaged roads and infrastructure have isolated villages, making it difficult for emergency aid to reach those in need. Clean water sources have been contaminated, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases, especially among children and the elderly.
As the flooding continues and weather conditions remain unpredictable, many families are struggling to meet their daily needs. Immediate humanitarian assistance is urgently required to provide food, clean water, and essential relief supplies for affected communities in Aceh.
